The HDS brings high performance features not previously seen in the value pricing categories. HDS shares all the popular features of its big brother HD1-S but in a plate loaded format. 3x3 framing with 1" holes allow for vast aftermarket options and is compatible with all Blazzed HD series attachments.
With a 1/1 ratio, heavy lat pulldowns and low rows are ready to go. The cable system will surprise you, it’s exceptionally smooth for a plate loaded model. Our signature high pulley towers offer added range of motion with correct alignment for overhead lat pulldowns. We recommend using regular olympic plates with a plate loaded system as bumper plates take up too much space on weight trolleys.
A commercial grade linear bearing smith machine with a 600lb weight capacity and more range of motion than competing models. The HDS shares the same custom low range smith machine from the HD1-S. Common Questions
Do you offer assembly?
We do! There is an assembly link in the shopping menu of our website if you would like to get a quote or hire an installer. We recommend waiting to purchase that service until your machine arrives.
How wide are the uprights?
All Olympic squat racks are about 47" wide, across all brands and models because an Olympic barbell determines the width. The space between the barbells sleeves. HD1 width is 47.25"
Why do some pictures show trolley handles on the inside and some on outside?
Like many parts of the HD models, its preference and can install either way. The user manual will recommend mounting them to the inside which keeps them out of the way of plates during free weight training. Most find them avoidable and prefer exterior mounting. If you change your mind after install, you can disassemble the trolley and reverse it without taking apart the machine. It can easily be done with 2 sets of hands in under 5 minutes.
What about leg extensions and leg curls?
We will not be making a rack attach leg ext/curl. They take up a lot of space when not in use. They are more difficult to install because they are heavy and harder to get on because you have to mount them high above the cable for full range. For those reasons most customers prefer a bench attached leg option that comes off easy and smaller to store when not in use. Or a dedicated leg ext/curl machine if you have the space.
Can the row plate be mounted on either side?
Yes, you can choose which side you install the port on during the assembly process.

Assembly was pretty straight forward. Extremely well built; very smooth. Love the pull up bar, love the lat pull down seat! The whole family is enjoying. Can’t wait for the captains chair to arrive!

After assembly on Friday I’ve got one workout in as well as trying all the cable options out.
I love the machine but that said I’ve seen a couple items that could be improved on. Nothing is perfect but I believe this all in one is gonna be as close as any can get.
One item, small as it may be are the J cups for the barbell. They tend to pivot somewhat on unracking/racking the barbell. IMO a tension screw or something of the like to hold it in place would be nice.
Second item is when the cable trollies are at the bottom position and the pullies swung to the outside, the cable comes off track from the trolly pulley and gets lodged in the housing. I realize this is at the lower limit for the trolly and 90deg deflection of the pulley but also believe it should function properly throughout any available setting or position.
Again I am more than pleased and believe this machine to be of excellent value.

Hi Adam, thanks for the review! If your J-cups are moving then you likely have them backwards. There is a left and right, the flat part that hugs the side of the upright should always be on the inside which counters all outward movement. Hope that helps!
The machine is exactly what I had hoped for and more! Smooth cables and Smith machine. Feels like a commercial quality rack.
After doing tons of research, I was convinced that the HD1s was the right build-out for me. It was very well packaged and shipped and very easy to assemble. Everything runs smooth as silk and has been awesome for my wife and I to use. Everything is heavy duty and feels more commercial than a standard consumer cable cage. Just excellent overall and can't recommend enough.
Very happy with my HD1S. The Smith bar was a little uneven. I had to loosen the nuts and add a washer to get it to rest evenly. Otherwise very happy with it so far!
I did so much research before my purchase of the HD1-S. I could not be more pleased. My husband and I put the gym together in about 9 hours over the holiday weekend. So far I love the HD1S! Cables are very smooth and the quality is punching much higher than its weight class in regards to cost! Shipping was simple, albeit delayed due to the nature of the origin company, but was expected.
The box came extremely well packed, assembly wasn't too difficult but you definitely need two people for some things. Overall, its super solid and smooth, as good or better than any functional trainer that I have ever used at a public gym.
The accessories are awesome, they definitely completed the setup. If I was a few years younger, I may have opted for the HD1 but this machine gives me everything I need.
I just received the HD1S. The freight company couldn't back down my driveway but he managed to get it out of the highway so I had to unbox everything and haul it from the end of my road to the garage which was a workout in itself. 😂 For those who might wonder what's in that small wooden box on top of the big crate don't plan on picking it up and throwing it around unless you're the hulk or something because it's 435 lb. Haha.
I'm one of the pickiest most OCD human beings alive and this piece of equipment is absolutely awesome. Very well built extremely smooth everything works as it should.
There wasn't one bolt screw washer nut set screw or anything left over after assembly. If you're looking for a high-end high quality commercial grade home gym this thing is unreal.. the adjustable bench is awesome. The pulleys are super smooth. This is one very well thought out piece of equipment in my opinion.

Durable equipment. Honestly its just like going to the gym but in my own home. Best purchase I’ve made. Cables are smooth if installed correctly. Pay attention to the cable notches when installing and you won’t have problems.

Amazing piece of equipment! Very easy to assemble. Only took a couple hours. Everything is smooth and rock solid. I spent months researching these types of machines and feel I made the best choice. Also was very happy that when one of the pieces to assemble was laser cut wrong, customer service got me the right piece in only a couple days.
