HD Arms are born by customer request. We originally tested articulating arms on the HD1 over a year ago. Because the arms can contact the lat towers in certain positions, we decided to create two models, HD1 and HD2. Little did we know, the majority of users would choose the HD1 and then email us daily requesting HD1 arms, of course we don't mind! So here we are, now you can now have the best of both worlds on one machine. The arms cannot be used in the max vertical position where the lat towers are located. The lat towers are designed to be the better option in this position with the dedicated 1:1 pulley.
